Paying for restaurant software in Nepal with eSewa or Khalti

Understand NPR software subscriptions through eSewa or Khalti, how renewal works, and why this is separate from guests paying their meal bills.

A restaurant owner paying for software and a guest paying for dinner are making two different transactions. If you are choosing restaurant software in Nepal because you want to pay its subscription through eSewa or Khalti, check the plan checkout. If you want a guest to pay a table bill through a wallet, check the guest payment integration instead. One does not establish that the other is connected.

What the Nepal subscription checkout covers

GiveMyMenu supports an NPR subscription checkout through PayBridgeNP for eSewa and Khalti. Availability depends on the payment provider being configured and an NPR price being published for the selected plan and billing period. A provider name or logo on a marketing page is not confirmation that a live transaction can currently be completed. Check the options actually offered in Plan & billing before purchasing.

Read the monthly and yearly amounts separately

The Nepal site uses explicitly configured NPR prices rather than converting a USD amount with a live exchange rate. A plan can have a monthly local price, a yearly local price, both or neither. A missing paid price should lead to an enquiry rather than being read as a free subscription. Check whether the amount applies per location and review the total shown at checkout.

A local payment does not automatically renew the plan

The current eSewa and Khalti subscription flow pays for one monthly or yearly period and does not automatically renew. Check the paid-until date after a confirmed payment. Paying again for the same plan can extend its current paid period; changing plans follows the checkout terms shown to the owner. Before repeating a payment that seems delayed, check the existing purchase status instead of starting several new purchases.

What happens to guests’ meal bills

The guest QR menu does not currently charge a meal to eSewa, Khalti or Fonepay. Restaurant bills record supported payments already received: cash or an external card-terminal payment. A wallet transfer received by a restaurant is not automatically verified or reconciled by the subscription checkout. If your service depends on guest wallet reconciliation, establish that workflow separately and do not record a transfer under an inaccurate payment method.

Check the free plan and the end of a trial

The Free plan does not require a payment method to start. New accounts currently receive a trial of Pro features, but the trial is separate from a paid subscription. Decide which continuing plan covers your needs before trial access ends. Use the current Nepal pricing and billing screens for the amounts and access offered to your account.

Fonepay is not currently an implemented checkout option in this application. Support for eSewa or Khalti plan payments should not be described as support for every Nepal wallet, bank QR or guest payment workflow.

Try it with your restaurant menu
